Case study 1
Julia Morrill was instructed as Deputy on behalf of a child under the care of the local authority whose mother had previously been in the care of the local authority, who had the benefit of a successful clinical negligence claim which is not yet settled.
The case required a very experienced deputy to manage the affairs of the child who had been born into a very troubled family. There were numerous financial and other challenges, including possible criminal activities. The child was subject to further care proceedings and the Deputy had to tread a very difficult path between the foster parents and natural mother, whilst the care proceedings and the clinical negligence proceedings continued.
Accommodation and a full support package organised.
