Negligent Hip Replacement
P had osteoarthritis of her right hip and underwent a right total hip replacement. Following the hip replacement P ended up with problems affecting her mobility and it eventually became apparent that she had a leg lengthy discrepancy as a result of the hip replacement.
This resulted in P having problems with driving, in performing her duties at work as well as being able to maintain her household.
Expert evidence from an Orthopaedic Surgeon confirmed that the surgery was not performed adequately and further there was a delay in providing P with revision surgery.
Eventually it was possible to resolve P’s claim and she accepted the sum of £91,000.00 in full and final settlement of her claim.
