Lester Morrill solicitor to speak at legal conference
Lester Morrill’s Associate Solicitor Rhiannon Jones is among the expert speakers confirmed for a conference which will be taking place in Manchester next month.
The Public Law and Judicial Review North event will welcome some of the top lawyers in this area of practice.
During the morning session, Rhiannon will be doing a session on the Top Public Law Cases of the Year alongside Emma Dowden-Teale.
Later in the day she will be taking part in a breakout session on Public law in public spaces, alongside James Stark – from Garden Court North Chambers – and Jill Dickinson, a senior law lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University.
This session will consider the use of public law remedies to challenge attempts to use the new ASBI legislation in a range of situations, including recent examples applied to homeless camps and injunctions applied to non-aggressive beggars in Leeds city centre – a Lester Morrill case which garnered widespread media coverage.
The conference will take place at BPP Law School, Manchester on July 14th. The full programme is now available at the Public Law Project website.
